The Space:

Welcome to Windwood Pines Cabin! We’re thrilled to have you here in this newly renovated retreat, thoughtfully designed with your comfort in mind.

Step inside, and you'll find a spacious living area with vaulted ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and large windows that flood the space with natural light and forest views. This room is complete with a comfortable sectional sofa, a flat-screen TV, and the newly installed pellet fireplace, ready to warm you up on those cool mountain evenings. For warmer months, the top floor is equipped with air conditioning to keep you cool.

Next to the living area is a bright dining space that comfortably seats six, ideal for family meals. It opens up to a fully-equipped kitchen, complete with modern appliances and plenty of counter space to prepare your favorite dishes. Down the hall, you'll find three bedrooms—a king master suite with an ensuite bathroom and two additional bedrooms that share a hallway bathroom.

Step out onto the expansive deck, where you can breathe in the crisp mountain air and enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine. The outdoor space is ideal for soaking in the peaceful surroundings, with ample seating for relaxation and conversation.

Venture downstairs to discover the large game room, a perfect hangout spot for both kids and adults. This versatile area is equipped with extra beds, a cozy sectional, another TV, and a pool table—perfect for movie nights or friendly competitions. There's also a variety of kids' toys, ensuring there's always something fun to do. The game room conveniently includes a restroom with a shower and a laundry area, so you have everything you need within reach. This level also provides access to the one-car garage!

Whether you're here for hiking, fishing, skiing, or simply to relax, Windwood Pines Cabin is the perfect base for your Shaver Lake adventures!

Things to note:

*Since the Creek Fire, there has been an influx of wildlife in the area. Make sure you do not leave food outside or in your car. Be aware of your surroundings during walks.

*Pitch and sap will accumulate on your shoes after walking around outside, please remove your shoes indoors.

WINTER- We strongly recommend bringing tire chains or cables for your vehicle, even if it’s a 4WD or AWD. Make sure to check the latest weather forecast and road conditions before you travel. It’s also a good idea to have extra blankets, food, and water in your car in case of delays.

Ockenden Ranch in Shaver Lake is a charming mountain community nestled in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Known for its serene environment and natural beauty, Ockenden Ranch offers a peaceful retreat with the convenience of being close to Shaver Lake's many outdoor activities. The community is characterized by its well-maintained cabins and homes, many of which back onto open spaces and forested areas, providing residents and visitors with a sense of seclusion and a strong connection to nature!

Guest Equity is a family-owned company passionate about adventure! We love hosting guests from all over the world. We have a 100% response rate!  Our availability is from 8 am-9 pm by messaging through the app or calling/texting the Customer Service phone number provided in your check-in instructions. You'll love our team! We look forward to hosting you!

House Rules

1. Communication is key!  Check-in after 4 pm.  Check out by 11 am.  Our office hours are between 8 am-10 pm, so please communicate between those hours and let us know if you plan to arrive after 9 pm.

2.  Honesty is the best policy! Let us know about ALL guests who will be coming to the house. 10 guests max. NO PETS allowed.

1. No unauthorized parties! Please don't try to sneak in more people. No smoking of any kind. Removal of smoke detectors is illegal. Loud music, excessive rowdiness, excessive drinking, smoking, etc. will result in a $1,000 party fine. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am.

2. Be respectful! When using outdoor areas, and other provided amenities, please clean up after yourself so the next guests can enjoy them as well. If something is wrong, low, or out, please let us know so we can fix it.

3. Act like a local! Please don't leave trash outside where it will attract bears and other wild animals.  There is a provided trash bin for your convenience.

Guests have access to the entire property, clean linens, wifi, bbq, games and more!

We suggest guests use their own vehicles to get around.
