"Two Bears Basecamp" is located in gated Bretz Mill community with a pool, spa, sauna and trails! It's the perfect location for a couple's retreat or small family. Cozy and bright!

Incredible cabin just the right size for a couple's getaway or small family retreat.  You'll love the updated kitchen with new appliances and everything you'll need for a home-cooked meal.  The living room and breakfast nook are open and airy with vaulted ceilings, a propane fireplace, and large sliding glass doors to view the gorgeous forest off the back deck.  Upstairs, the bedroom features a super comfortable king size bed with memory foam topper, a Smart TV to stream your favorite shows, and an attached bathroom.  A second space upstairs is perfect for storing your luggage, getting ready in the morning, to use as a work space, or to put the pack and play if you're traveling with little ones. The community offers a pool in the summer, and a spa and sauna all year long.  Community dumpsters ensure you don't have to deal with trash removal issues which are common in Shaver. Come for a stress-free visit to Shaver Lake, we know you'll love Two Bears Basecamp!

Guests have access to the entire property, deck, and *seasonal* pool and spa.  There are paved streets and walking trails that guests may use.  There's ample parking that is first come first served, located along the front of the unit.  Trash dumpsters are located a short walk from the cabin.

We suggest using your own vehicle to get around.  Traveling in the winter? 4 wheel drive and tire chains are strongly encouraged, and may be required by California Highway Patrol when there's snow in the forecast.  The main road (Rockledge) is plowed, but we still suggest bringing a snow shovel and preparing to walk through snow if you're coming during a snowstorm.

Two Bears Basecamp is a condo in a gated community.  We have neighbors that are full time residents, please follow the "Bretz Mill Rules" of no fires, no parties, and quiet hours begin at 10pm.
The pool is seasonal- open only for the summer. The spa is open year around, weather and elements permitting. 
Because of heightened fire danger, there are no open fires allowed outside.  The grill provided is propane. 
Since the Creek Fire, there has been an influx in wildlife in the area.  Make sure you do not leave food outside, and clean the BBQ after use.  Be aware of your surroundings during walks.
Pitch and sap will accumulate on your shoes after walking around outside, please remove your shoes indoors.

- **Anonymous**: "Shaver lake had just received multiple feet of snow before we arrived so we knew this was going to be a magical but potentially challenging vacation. Luckily the roads were in fairly good condition going up and we had clear weather forecasted for the next couple days. The Airbnb was easy to find and had a nicely cleared path from the road to the steps. Just to the steps. There was a good 3-4' of snow covering the steps getting to the front door and no sign of a shovel or any tools. After considerable effort we reached the front door and found a warm cozy cabin. While working on clearing a path with a spatula, a maintenance guy came by to check if the pathways had been cleared to the units so we asked why it wasn't cleared all the way to the front door. He said that they didn't do steps and entryways and that "you're supposed to bring a shovel when you go to the mountains".  I'm guessing most people don't think of bringing a shovel on vacation. Otherwise was an enjoyable stay." (6/5)
