Designed for families, groups, and year-round mountain getaways, this spacious townhome offers multiple levels of privacy and cozy living spaces. Peaceful forest views and easy access for unwinding after a day at the lake or China Peak ski resort, only 20 miles away. Lower Level – Rest & Relaxation Downstairs from the entry level, you’ll find: Primary bedroom with king size canopy bed, attached private bathroom, and balcony access Guest bedroom with queen bed and shared balcony Hallway bathroom Peaceful forest views and easy access for unwinding after a day at the lake or slopes Main Level – Gather & Enjoy The open-concept living area is perfect for making memories: Fully equipped kitchen – stocked with cooking essentials & complimentary coffee Dining area with seating for the whole group Cozy living room with a sofa bed featuring a smart TV, family-friendly games, and a propane fireplace Private deck with BBQ grill and outdoor seating—ideal for morning coffee or evening stargazing Loft Level – Perfect for Kids & Extra Guests Twin daybed in the loft Private kids’ bedroom with a queen/twin bunk bed. This upper level is an ideal hideaway for younger guests or extra sleeping space for your group. Washer & dryer available for guest use right off the entryway Note: The townhome does not have AC or central heating. Space heaters are easily accessible via in-room wall thermostats, plus the living room fireplace keeps things cozy. Guests have access to the entire condo and community amenities: Gated access for privacy and security, seasonal swimming pool Inviting hot tub for post-adventure relaxation Mountain charm throughout Bretz Mill’s peaceful forested environment Getting around Shaver Lake is simple and convenient from our centrally located condo in the gated Bretz Mill community. Parking: Guests have parking near the unit inside the secure gated community. Guests should expect to drive to explore Shaver Lake, nearby trailheads, and local restaurants. Roads are well-maintained, and the condo is just a quick drive to town and the lake. Winter Travel: During snowy months, 4WD/AWD or chains may be required. Mountain roads can become icy, and CalTrans often mandates traction devices—plan ahead for winter conditions. The community HOA services the roads/parking in the community. Guests must arrive during check-in hours because you will need to be buzzed in at the gated entrance. If you expect to arrive later than the designated hours, please contact us in advance so we can confirm that someone will be available to grant access. After that, you’ll be provided with a Key Card that allows you to freely enter and exit the community and access the pool and spa. Please note: This Key Card must be returned at checkout. A $250 replacement fee will be charged for any lost or unreturned Key Card. Self Check In: Your personalized door code activates at check in time. If you try to check in before, it will not work. The condo is in a nice gated neighborhood about 1.5 miles from Shaver Lake town. The condo itself is functional. My only gripe was that there was no key fob for the hot tub and the gate to get into the neighborhood. This meant that I had to dial in every time I went in and out of the gate. My kids were also disappointed to not be able to use the hot tub.

Overall our stay was a 6/10. The location and place was great. The views were perfect. Although it didn’t have a heater the fireplace kept it nice and cozy. The kitchen had a few imperfections(dirty dishes, broken cabinets and minimal pots/pans). The porch was covered in snow which we shoveled to use the grill, as we shoveled there was a ton of dog poop left over from who knows when which just smeared across and was stepped in also coming up the walkway which we didn’t notice till the next morning since we had a late check in. I messaged them and they were quick to respond which was appreciated. The rooms were nice, just no cable. This place was nice for a big family but if youre traveling with littles i would not recommend this place dude to the amount of stairs and visible cords. We love shaver and this was a last minute trip but i would totally stay here again.
