Welcome to the historic Camp Nelson Lodge, nestled in the charming mountain community of Camp Nelson in California's Sierra Nevada. Surrounded by the Giant Sequoia National Monument and Sequoia National Forest, this peaceful retreat is the perfect place to slow down, unplug, and enjoy the beauty of the mountains.

The scenic drive into Camp Nelson winds through the Tule River Canyon before opening into a quiet community filled with historic cabins, towering pines, giant sequoias, and abundant wildlife. It's common to spot deer wandering across the lodge's grassy grounds throughout the day.

Located on the second floor, Room 6 offers everything you need for a comfortable stay, including:

Whether you're hiking nearby trails, fishing local rivers, enjoying a scenic drive, or simply relaxing beneath the trees with a cup of coffee, Camp Nelson offers a slower pace that's hard to find elsewhere.

After a day of exploring, walk across the street to the local tavern for dinner and drinks before returning to the quiet comfort of the lodge.

Guests have private access to Room 6 along with complimentary WiFi, fresh towels and linens, and one flat parking space.

We recommend using your vehicles to get around and fully explore the area. However, if you prefer to stay local, you'll find plenty within walking distance! There's a pizza place nearby, a bar for relaxing evenings, and a general store for any essentials you might need.

Please Note: This property is not located in Sequoia National Park and is not close to the park entrance. Camp Nelson is a separate mountain destination in the Sierra Nevada, surrounded by Sequoia National Forest and the Giant Sequoia National Monument.
Cell service is limited throughout Camp Nelson, allowing guests to truly disconnect and enjoy the peaceful mountain surroundings. Complimentary WiFi is available inside the lodge.
To encourage a relaxing getaway, guest rooms do not include televisions.

Please note:
There is no air conditioning in the lodge. Thanks to Camp Nelson's mountain elevation, evenings are typically cool and comfortable.
While guest rooms are available, the lodge's restaurant, dining room, and main gathering areas are currently closed.
There is no on-site office or staff. Our team manages the property remotely and is available daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM should you need anything during your stay.
