A warning to all families, especially those with disabilities. At 11:23 AM, just 23 minutes past our 11 AM checkout, the owner called the police on our family while we were actively packing. Our family includes a member with a Stage 4 medical condition and two young children.

The owner lives and watching us from a house across the street, created a false emergency. The next guest wasn't due to check in until 4:00 PM—nearly 5 hours later.

Because of this call, we were met by multiple officers who threatened us with jail and a CPS investigation in front of our kids. The host justified this by claiming an urgent need for the house and that we were "warned in advance," neither of which was true. This was a traumatic and completely disproportionate response to a minor delay. We cannot recommend this property to any family who values safety, privacy, and basic human decency. They caused my kids trauma and weaponized the police" (2/5)
